If I tell you, then I am helping you to destroy your creativity, and not only that, it also means that the work is no longer totally yours, for the plot is a major part of a story.

If your having trouble with plot, I suggest that you read Michael Hauge's book, How to Write a Screenplay that Sell.
I'm sure it will help, even if you are not writing screenplay.

Goodluck!
I know you can do it!

Well, I'm not familiar with things like that, but I wanted to give my opinion.
How about someone breaking them out of the delusion?
Or describing their life with thoughts of why they don't move on, only in their dying moments do they realize that they've been alive all of that time?
Or Casper, how he/she admired someone from afar, but the person they admired thought them to be a stalker and killed them. Okay, I admit that was a random thought, but it works.
