I've been playing with the idea of a list of all the books that I read. There's no way to know all of the ones that I've read, but from here out. What do you think?

I do. I have a journal type thing that I keep the list of all the books I read, divided by the year I read them. Every time I finish a book, I add the title, author, and dated I finished it. Grant it, I don't have every book that I've read, because I started my Freshman year of highschool, but the majority of the are in there.

No, I used to have a photographic memory. Now I read so much that I can't keep track. And I don't want to list them out because it's nice to pick up a book I have read already. Shows that I have good taste. The only list I carry with me is of the Dick Francis novels missing from my collection. I would like to enter into a book shop or library and say, EEEE BOOOOKS.

Yes I write them down but I mostly memorize every book I read but if you want to keep a record I suggest a fancy notebook and you write down the name of the book and a sentence about it and the writer. I think it is a good idea because if it is a really good story you can always read it again if you write it down. I think that is a good plan

You can make a list of all the book you have read and those you want to read, with ratings for each if you wish, by using the database facility on your computer.

I keep a record of all the books I've read and it can be helpful to see which books you've already read. I write down the title, author, date read, number of pages, how many stars I gave it, whether it's fiction or non-fiction, and ISBN.

I do and use a simple spread sheet that has the author, title, date completed, one line comment and whether I own it or have checked it out from two libraries that I use.
(computer spreadsheet or database.)
I think it is helpful because you may not pick up a book that you have already read.
But you have to find a system that works for you.
I have tried to keep a list for maybe the last two or three years.

I don't keep a list of what I've already read but I do keep a list of books that I want to purchase----and read----for my personal library.

no I read so many in college for 8 years I've lost count. Let's look at it this way do you remember what the books taught or the theme of the book, did it better your life?
