Silken Savage by Catherine Hart? I've read it and was wondering if you read it, then what did you think about it then. Personally I loved it so much.

I'm a huge harry potter fan and I want to get the 7th book the second its released. I've never been to a release party before. I'm planning to go to Barnes and Noble in Minnesota. Are they having a release party? What should I expect? What will I do? Like, just get there and stand in line all night? Should I pre-order the book? If I pre-order it, will it be in the bookstore on July 21 (in the night, not in the morning)? Or will it just be sent to my home in the morning? Because I want to get it in the bookstore. What time should I get there to get the book? Like a specific time, don't tell me to just get there whenever I want. Because I want to be one of the first people in line. any additional information would be awesome. if you have been to a release party, can you tell me what happened? Thanks.

Okay, Im deciding to write a story but I need a name for the mom. (Im not good with deciding names..)

She's going to be VERY professional, and have barely any of the mom qualities. So, whats a good name for a very accomplished and business-like woman?

Thanks <33

I have some summer reading for school but I also want to read some books for pleasure. Does anyone know any good books for a fifteen year old girl? I want a book that keeps the reader going until they have finished the book because I do get sidetracked a lot. I really liked the catcher in the rye because it was an easy read and it also made you think a lot. Does anyone know any books like that?

These are the books for my summer reading and I only have to read one. I want to read something that is an easy read but also is very interesting. If you have read these books yourself, please give me your opinion and which book you think would be worth reading. Thanks!

A lesson before dying -Ernest J. Gaines

The Bean Trees- Barbara Kingsolver

Devil in the White City- Erik larson

Hey guys I'm thinking of a short story or novella but for the life of me can't remember what it's called. Most likely it's written by Steven King because the time I read the story I'm thinking of I was working through some of his books...but I still can't remember what it's called!

Basic plot is there's this man who owns a business that looks like a business on the outside, he goes in and then there's some type of a secret passage to another office where he changes clothes to look like some sort of army officer. Then he goes to a hotel or something and changes clothes yet again to look like a bum. He does this all to conceal his idenitity and then he sits on the street corner disguised as a shamed homeless vetran and makes a whole lot of money. On the outside he's a respectable business man but he is really just a fraud.

Has anyone else read this and remember what it's called? Thanks!

The Garth Nix trilogy- Sabriel, Lireal, Abhorsen. The Nine Great Charters:

One- Crown
Two- Abhorsen
Three- Stones/Wall
Four- Clayr
Five- Stones/Wall
Six- ????
Seven- Dog, I think....
Eight- Mogget (Yrael)
Nine- Destroyer (Orrannis)

Of the Nine Great Charters.... what's the sixth? And do they have any correlation to the bells? Becaue Dog is "what's left of Kibeth, in a watered-down sort of way" and they meet the Sorrowfull in the well under the Abhorsen's house.... explanations/help??? this is the only thing about those books I don't like.

Anyone know this Heinlein story--I ran across a reference to it, but just the quote/scene from the end--they find the man who met the aliens dead, and he scratched into his skin with his fingernails: "Creation took eight days." Very frustrating--I thought I'd read all of his, but I guess not!

New authors can make a lot of mistakes attempting to pubish their first book. Many prople have opinions on what are the best methods about the book publishing process. There have been authors that have been rejected hundreds of times before their first book was published. I seek to learn from their mistakes. Success leaves clues. So if I apply the same kinds of principles, I can reap the same kinds of rewards. The trick is you have to know what to do. This question is aimed at finding those answers. I know there is no one framework that works for every situation, but studying at least 10 significant points can lead to the overall building blocks needed to succeed in book publishing.

I'm just trying to brainstorm with as many people as I can here, thought maybe some random strangers might like to help me out...

Anyway, I'm writing a story involving a group of teenagers who end up trapped in a house together and end up getting killed by one of their own (they don't know who until the end). \

The problem is I can't think of a good reason WHY they are trapped in the house. A snowstorm seems boring and cliche but everything else doesn't seem to work.

Any ideas? It has to be something that keeps them in the house even when they all start dropping like flies.
