These are the books for my summer reading and I only have to read one. I want to read something that is an easy read but also is very interesting. If you have read these books yourself, please give me your opinion and which book you think would be worth reading. Thanks!

A lesson before dying -Ernest J. Gaines

The Bean Trees- Barbara Kingsolver

The Bean Trees is very meaningful and very readable. I enjoyed it. A Lesson Before Dying is a little obscure and not all that terrific. I haven't read the Devil ...

If you haven't already, you could read the book that came before Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close called Everything Is Illuminated. I thought they were both good, but Everything Is Illuminated is a bit funnier than the other. If you've already read that one, these were all good reads, interesting, a bit odd, but I've always liked that in a book. Maybe you'll enjoy them too :) Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson The Curious Incident of a Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon Perfume by Patrick Suskind Fight Club by Chuck Palahniuk American Gods by Neil Gaiman Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane Geek Love by Katharine Dunn

All are worth reading, but Bean Trees will probably be the most satisfying summer read because it will be easy to get through and understand
