I am one of those disgusting people who reads her Harry Potter books over and over... but I would like to start reading a book or book series between now and the release of the last book (which I'm sure I'll read at least 4 times).

I started Anne Rice's Inerview With The Vampire series but am having a hard time getting into the second book.

I enjoy fantasy type books that aren't too far fetched but still fun. I don't care if it is a book recomended for teens or adults, as long as it is a fun read.
I also like books that really make you think.
Please don't recommend any books that are generally read for school purposes- they are all sitting on my book shelves.

Any suggestions are welcome.

I am reading Brave New World right now and I am kind of confused...if they don't give birth in this new society than how was Linda able to give birth to John?

Also just a side question about the book...What are some reasons why it is important for high school students to read the book Brave New World?

I have an idea for a book... but I really need to work on it! If I do publish it... would anyone read it??? It would be about magic, mystery, dragons (NOT SUPRISING!) and royalty. The main character(s) names would possibly be Laurel, Edward, and Lord Roberto. Do you think it'll make it?

For a project I have to show connections/influence between Ernest Hemingway and other Modernists. However, the catch is that it can't be in his field, so it has to be like an artist or composer or something that either influenced him or was influenced by him

I'm really stumped. I know there were connections between some poets and painters, but Hemingway doesn't seem to be influenced by any of them. Any I deas are greatly appreciated.

We recently read this book in school ( "black history month") and I don't see whats so good about this book. In my city (which is in the Eastern part of Arkanasa) people just treated this book like it was the Bible or something. We had plays in Memphis about it, at MSCC they had speakers come talk about the book but I don't see whats so good about it. ( Not that it matters but then again it might I'm black) So did you like it and why?

Unfortunately I no longer have my "Vampire Chronichles" they've been a form of therapy for me over the years, but Anne Rice will no longer publish my tales, and I need someone to talk to.
You need not believe it is me, you probably won't, I expect it to be so. Requirements are that you have read my books and understand me. I don't want to have to explain absolutely everything. Also I want you to really think before you take me on as a friend. I can be a real handfull.

I'm still on the beginning of my story. I've only got about 5,000 words written. I'm not sure if I should go on with my writing because I've heard writers don't make any money.I'm not even sure if I'm a good enough writer to actually get published.I'm just not sure if I should even bother taking my time to write this story, if I am only setting myself up for disappointment. Does anyone know of the salary of a first book writer?

In a state of disbelief you are gone out of reach far beyond, No time will tell how long you will be my heart just sings how sorry is he, Mental darkness all around lost the love that was truely found, Hinding in a corner of a room that was round lost and alone bewildered and down, In that state of disbelief pray you dont go there deaths beneath.............................................................................................

I've been going crazy trying to find a title of this book I read a few years ago; I loved it so much I read it about three times. I'm only 16 so it's not like the book's out of print. Well, the book is based off of Beauty and the Beast. The character's name is Beauty instead of Belle, and the Beast's name is still Beast. I think the title has something to do with "Beauty's Roses" or something like that, but I've searched for it online and haven't had any luck finding it or anything like it. The book is centered around Beauty, the Beast, and these roses. And instead of having inanimate characters like Clocksworth, they do have servants but in the book Beauty can only hear them, and not see them. It's based more on the original French version where Beast asks Beauty every night at dinner to marry him, however. The book is amazing and I really loved it, so if anyone can help me out, please respond! Thanks!!!!

It was a book I read whenever I was much younger. I don't remember a whole lot, but ill let you what I do remember. It was about a group of kids who had a make believe town on like a hill or something like that. They had a sheriff and other kids played rolls such as that. They used some sort of rock or something like that as money. I specifically remember the book saying something about one girl inparticular that always was getting in troulbe and was always in the town jail and she just sat there. The narrator came back to the place whenever he was older and was remembering whenever he played there as a young boy. Please help, I can't remember the name of the book for the life of me.
