im in the middle of reading it, but i heard that the 2 of the sisters are lesbians? is that true?

No it's not true. Why would Jane Austen write that in her book? That would be so much unlike her.

I've read it a few times, and no - not only would it not fit the story, writing that in a book in Jane Austen's time would have lead to an absolute scandal! She probably couldn't even have gotten it published.

In the book, one of the daughters marrying a man her parents disapprove of (I don't want to spoil it for you so I want go into details) leads to an outrage and much embarrassment. The very idea of anyone being lesbian and admitting to it or acting upon it in any way would have been unthinkable.

Whoever told you this was just pulling your leg.

I read it and no, none of the sisters are lesbians. I don't know where people get ideas like that because it really isn't true.

I've read it a few times now - love it! The novel was written in the late 19th century - there is no way Jane Austen would have wrote it - never mind get away with it!

I heard bout the book but I havent read it myself..I dont think theres no lesbian sisters cause all the talk I heard was good!

No, that's not true. You can get the movie, its an oldie. Both the book and the movie are very boring.
