i think she would appreciate it more if you wrote one yourself-even if it does sound "silly".If she's a keeper, she'll appreciate the thought and effort. Just avoid the roses are red, violets are blue category or any crude jokes and you should be fine. Or you can try looking up Love Poems from published authors and tell Amanda that the poem represents how you feel about her.....Still, i think the best poem will be one that comes from you-it might not be a nobel prize winner, but it'll be sincere.

Make one yourself. Come up with one about something you like about her. Poems do not have to rhyme and should be fun and easy. If you like her as much as you say you do create one for her yourself. It will mean more. Besides, if she finds out one day you had someone write it instead of yourself she might be disappointed in you.

Ah so you want someone to be your Cyrano huh?? How could someone possibly do that for you? How could someone possibly express what's in your heart? So, maybe you're not a poet - prose would work too. Just write what's in your heart. Write down the words you want to say to her. That's what she needs to hear.
