okay... so... I have turned around to face my bookshelves. Hmmm, somebody who usually reads fiction, love stories. How about some strong women with very cool writing style and awesome powerful statements. Try this, it's a small book but packed full -- well -- check it out. "Two or Three Things I Know For Sure" by Dorothy Allison.

Have you read "Notes From My Travels" by Angelina Jolie. It was BEFORE all the Brad Pitt stuff. Actually from a journal she kept. And it has pictures!

I'm not sure how old you are... but I have read collections of short stories by PAM HOUSTON. She is one of the best. Ummm, I think one collection was called, "Cowboys are My Weakness," and another collection titles, "Waltzing the Cat." Such cool work.

And if you are a big reader... try writing your own stories too. There are usually writers groups found at some of the big book stores, or check any local college campus. If you do like to write you have GOT to check out the book "Bird by Bird" by Anne Lamott. I LOVE this book. She is hilarious. Totally screwed up on a variety of drugs, ends up pregnant, goes to a church and gets her sh*t together but NEVER in a preachy way. It'll make you laugh til stuff comes out your nose!

ENJOY!

A good author that I suggest is Isabel Allende. She wrote the Zorro trilogy. If you like old world drama, suspense & romance she's the best. I love her bokk called the daughter of fortune is 3 book series & it's not boring. Another is Dan Brown Demons & Angels. I don't know the author, basically I don' t remeber but the title of book is "They call me It" it's a story of a little book who survived years of child abuse and how over comed it. That book teaches you how to appreciate Life.

Try the series: Diary of a Teenage Girl. There's about 16 books in it. They're really good.

I totally recommend anything by Christopher Moore - milk-out-of-the-nose hysterical! If you like girl teen love books, one of his would totally appeal to you - "You Suck! A Love Story". My all time favorite of his is "A Dirty Job", but ANYTHING by this author is worth the read.
Enjoy!!!
