It was a book I read whenever I was much younger. I don't remember a whole lot, but ill let you what I do remember. It was about a group of kids who had a make believe town on like a hill or something like that. They had a sheriff and other kids played rolls such as that. They used some sort of rock or something like that as money. I specifically remember the book saying something about one girl inparticular that always was getting in troulbe and was always in the town jail and she just sat there. The narrator came back to the place whenever he was older and was remembering whenever he played there as a young boy. Please help, I can't remember the name of the book for the life of me.

It is definately Roxaboxen by McClaren (sp?), illustrated by Barbara Cooney, a favorite of mine. Great book!

wasn't that Bridge to Teribithia? I knwo they have a movie now but I read the book weh I was little. I just can't remember all of it.
