Okay so I know that probably sounds like a really weird question to ask but my has seemed to longer like me. The last couple of days I had ideas flying around non-stop but didn't take the time to write them down. Now they're all gone. It's like I'm lost my muse/inspiration and I'm despartely trying to get it back. How do you find inspiration for fiction writing?

Opinion on poetry?

I'm 16, I've never taken any creative writing classes and I was just wondering if anyone here could give me some pointers on making my writing stronger.

Thanks so much! :D

I personally suggest "Drinking Starlight in the Rain" as it is my favourite piece of work and the one I am most proud of. Thank you :).

I am really puzzled by this book. It is really a fantastic novel and I enjoyed it very much, yet I cannot seem to conclude whether or not if the events in the story actually occurred. The story seems to be fiction, but in Michael Crichton's acknowledgments it seems to be true. What do you think?

I have to write an essay for To Kill A Mockingbird. I have got my entire essay planned out, except for one thing, the first sentence. In the first sentence, I have to answer the main question, which will provide a basis for the rest of my essay. I need someone to give a semi-broad, general answer to the question. Remember, you don't have to get into a ton of detail, I've already done that in the body. Thanks and here's the question.

How are the people of Maycomb able to think of themselves as good people after what they did to Tom Robinson?

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

There is a place where the sidewalk ends
And before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in the peppermint wind.

Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.

Yes we'll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we'll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
For the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.

I'm writing a story that's set in the present time and Oliver's family is very rich. I just can't think of an elegant or decent last name to fit that description.

i started playing a song by young buck(rap), and started reading a book and after reading a few words i just laughed to myself because it seemed so crazy.
listening to rap while reading.
so then i chose some alicia keys, more soothing music.

i want to know if you listen to music while reading a book.
and what kind of music?

=)
