Toward the end of "The Time Machine", by H.G. Wells, the Earth stops it's rotation and a big ol' nasty monster comes out of the ocean and attacks the time traveller. What is that monster supposed to be anyway? Like a Crab, or a Roach, or what?

Have any of you women read this,I liked it but I can't live for my family and take care of them and shove my own needs to the side,I feel I am not being selfish by wanting some me time.I don't want to end up regretting having kids and a husband in the long run because they drained the life out of me and didn't care how i felt....I love them but i can be the perfect mother and perfect wife and never want time to myself.....what are your thoughts on the book?

I have a poem by John Keats, it's called "when I have fears that i may cease to be." Can anyone tell me what it means?------------------------------------
