kaplan took my books down...then i tried to sell them on craig's list but i got too many false offers, more about swindling money from me...ebay now requires more bank info and checking account info and i'm not comfortable providing that...amazon requires an ISBN number but kaplan will recognize it and get rid of my ad again...any suggestions? thanks

Does anyone know where I can get any of these books from? You would decide what to do at various points in the book which would determine the ending, it would say 'if you want to do this go to page xxx' or 'if you want to do this go to page xxx'. They are really clever, I'd love to get a few of them! Cheers!

Help! I love the LOTR movies, and i would like to read the books, however i am more interested in knowing the background of middle earth........i tried to read the silmarillion, but i got so lost in the names, i couldn't even make it through without being utterly confused! Do they have a cliff's notes version of this book? And if not, can someone point me to a web site that gives the book summary to be easily understandable?

A class I will be taking this semester has a lot of books to be read. I bought the books, but a couple of days ago I had a hemorage in one eye and it is very hard to read. I'm going nuts!

Does anyone have these books in audio that can be sent email, or know where I can find a free copy? I can't afford $20-$30 per book after buting the hard copies.

These should get me through the healing of my eye, then I can read the rest.

i'm a 13 year old girl and i have a gift for poetry.
i'm really good and have been told so by my teachers, friends and family.
even though that is not what i want to be when i grow up i would like to put my talent to use .
my parents have no problems about it.
so i was just wondering
how can i get some of my poems published.
i don't know any publishers and i don't know how to contact any.
by the way i live in the U.A.E.
(United, Arab, Emirates), sharjah to be exact.

snow white & the seven dwarfs is one of my favorite fairy tales, i grew up with it.. but the fact that she lives with seven men is very questionable. Also there are theories of her also as a lesbian.. the witch offers her a luscious red apple, in the book the apple is described with the connotations of seduction. The fact that the apple brought death to snow white furthermore gives more room for questioning. It is like garden of eves.. whatever, it is whatever you wanna believe...

What should you do when your good intention may hurt the publication prospect of a book?

I've just written a review about a new book recently published in China. This book used to be banned, so it is some kind of an event that the book was allowed to reappear.

After my review was published, the publisher in China wrote me, saying that they are prepared to issue another book from the same author. The problem is, they said, my book review may have got the censors' attention, so now the censors may think this author is still problematic. The publisher implied that they don't want an 'event', but they just want to do things quietly.

I feel a bit guilty. I really liked the book and thought its publication should be known widely, that's why I wrote the review.

Should I apologize to the publisher?
