I love fantasy, and if you guys have any good suggestions, I'd be grateful. I know there are a lot of questions like this. I love any type of fantasy from Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings to Eragon. Any good book will do.

Hi there. I'm an avid Nicholas Sparks fan and his novels make

North Carolina seem very fascinating. I've never been to US and if

given the chance, NC would be the 1st place I'd visit. Is that

advisable?

Thanks a lot.:-)

I haven’t forgotten the
Fishing or the road trips
Or how hard we always
Competed against each other.
I remember the stupid
Things I’d do to make him
Laugh and the times I’d
Come home to visit and
He was always one of
The first people I’d see.
I’ll never forget the night
The phone rang and I heard
About him leaving.
It’s been seven years since
He left and I remember.
I see him about once a year
When I sleep and he visits.
It was where he first met my
Wife and then my child.
One time I thought he was
Still there when I woke but
It wasn’t yet awake, I guess.
I’ve made many friends since and
Value every minute with them.
But none will ever fill the void
He took with him that night.
Yet each night I drift to sleep is
Another chance I’ll see him again.

I have this story about a sixteen year old who thought she loved this guy alot and so she had sex with him and got pregnant. And she ended up telling him and in the process found out who he was cheating with, her best friend. She gets a new boyfriend too. One day the baby is with her sister and she gets a call from her sister telling her to rush home as she is talking with her old friend and the new woman of her ex boyfriend and baby daddy's eye. She goes home to find her daughter not breathing so well with a high fever. So she takes her to the hospital and a few hours later the baby dies. I want something else to happen between then but I am not sure, but I think I should rebuild her confidence in herself or what before I make the seqeal

I want to take a holiday where I do nothing but hole up in a room and read -- and maybe take occasional walks to stretch out a bit. No work, no tv, no movies, minimal human interaction, etc. So what book should I take?

I'm thinking maybe one of the following: James Joyce's Ulysses, Dante's Divine Comedy, or Dostoevsky's The Brothers Karamazov -- but I want other people's ideas. It should be a fairly challenging book, long enough to reward sustained attention over about ten days, the kind of thing it's hard to get through with all the distractions of ordinary life. Also, of course, it should be a book that challenges the way we think, gives a different outlook on life, a new vision on things. Call it 'transformative' if you wish.

The book in question could be a great story, but it should be more than 'just' a great story, if you know what I mean. Basically, it should be a classic -- whether new or old.

It can be a book you've read and loved, or a book you want to read.
