Yes, I adored the series (the two out thus far- the sequel, Eclipse, will release later this year). Meyer really had an interesting way of adapting the vampire/werewolf legends, and I love her writing style; very suspenseful, but not in an annoying way. The relationship that Edward and Bella have is one of the better novel couple partnerships that I've ever read, and, I admit, Edward is very, very hot. I love that his skin radiates the luminance of thousands of diamond prisms when he walks into sunlight!

The only other vampire book I have loved as much was Sunshine by Robin McKinley, which is my all-time favorite book. It's also got a strong, passionate vampire/human romance, this one more realistic and darker, and much more dangerous for the reluctant human main character. Constantine, or Con, the main vampire (the only one not trying to drain Sunshine for her magic-steeped blood) is also smoking hot, in an aching sort of way. I very much recommend it to fans of Twilight.

Happy reading!

I love that series! I can't wait for the third book Eclipse to come out. It should be out in the fall of this year and she's going to post the first chapter this summer. Have you read the extras and extended scenes from Twilight and New Moon on Stephenie's website? If you haven't you really should. You can even talk about the books at twilightlexicon.com

No, but I'm partial to the Vampire Chronicles. I highly recommend
New Tales of the Vampires: Pandora
and
Blood and Gold

both by Anne Rice

Well, I've heard many of my friends comment that it is a really good book. Another series on vamps that you can check out is Darren Shan if you have not already. It is a really good series and although at the beginning you may feel a little irked at some of the things, as the story progresses it gets relaly good and at sopme parts, it is touching

I read Twilight and now I am reading the next of the series. New Moon.
I enjoyed Twilight. Full of surprises.
Another good vampire author is Laurell K. Hamilton, but she tells vampiers like I feel they were intended.

Never read it, but I highly recommend any Anne Rice Vampire Chronicle book, or any of the books by Kim Harrison!
