What will I get out of it? I heard it is a really good book. Where can I find it for the cheapest price?

NO, DEFINITELY NOT!

The Author, Rick Warren, IS A FALSE PROPHET!

Like many of the Motivational Speakers, his is wrapped in the Guise of 'for the glory of god' [note small-g].

HE missed the central theme of the Bible!

(Matthew 6:33) But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Thanks, RR

Yes I highly recommend this book. Reading this will guide you to plan your life and have a drive of reaching something and living a life of significance. It is also inspired by the bible so if you are a Christian, this is an excellent book. You can find the cheapest price by buying the paperback edition on any bookstore.

Absolutely not. Read the handbook from the Creator for the created, the Bible. Why would you take regurgitated spiritual nourishment when you can have the real thing? Bible doesn't make any sense at all to you? Maybe you need to have God's partnership in understanding what He wrote John 3:1-8 (below). He will then (Personally) lead you (individually) to know Him Hebrews 10:17-18 (below).

Joh 3:1 There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.
Joh 3:2 This man came to Jesus by night and said to Him, "Rabbi, we know that You are a teacher come from God; for no one can do these signs that You do unless God is with him."
Joh 3:3 Jesus answered and said to him, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God."
Joh 3:4 Nicodemus said to Him, "How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?"
Joh 3:5 Jesus answered, "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:6 "That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.
Joh 3:7 "Do not marvel that I said to you, 'You must be born again.'
Joh 3:8 "The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit."

Heb 10:16 "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,"
Heb 10:17 then He adds, "Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more."

YES! I have read this book twice. It makes some awesome points and, of course, is a Christian publication. You may want to try Amazon.com or a mail-in book club. Your best bet is to visit some Christian book stores. It costs less in paperback - I paid $12.50 Canadian for it.

In this book you learn that "you" are not the focus, God is. As a Christian we often wonder, "why do we exist? what is our purpose?" The answer to these questions is to glorify God in all we say and do ... it is not about the "it's all about me" mentality. This book helps you discover your desires and how to use them to glorify God, it helps you to discover your spiritual gifts. It helps you to prioritize your life as a Christian and helps get your focus back off yourself and back onto God and others. The result is joy. It is a very good book ... enjoy!

veritas45 ... Rick Warren is not a prophet, never claimed to be - just an author ... and glorifying God in your life is seeking the kingdom first.

It's interesting. I enjoyed it. It's kind of a devotional for you to examine some of the things in your life. I got it at walmart for under 6 dollars.
