Yes, I agree since in fact the novel's translated from French and I think the translators have agreed with the first one. I mean I've never seen it in any other title and, presumably, the title is regarded as a perfect one and it powerfully signifies how wise and cute he is during his brief stay in the desert. Moreover, he has taught readers with an interesting bit of philosophy, that is, we all live in the shell of life, thus when the time comes we will definitely depart from the body (the shell).
It's one of my favorite novels, I think I'd appreciate it more if I could read French.
