Sometimes...
When you cry
no one sees your tears.

Sometimes...
When your in
pain no one
sees you hurt.

Sometimes...
you are worried
no one sees your
stress.
Sometimes...
When you are
happy no one
sees your smile:).

I personally think that men are better writers when it comes down to it; but I also think that it has to do with personal taste. I honestly find J.D. Salinger, Poe, and e.e. cummings absolutely AMAZING.
Anne Rice is OK, but I would not read any of her novels more than once.

So, who is better?

I heard that television shortens your attention span, and books help widen it so I was wondering if I started to watch no tv and instead started to read books would it have a good effect on me.

Moonlit walks on the beach,
you know things like that can't be beat.
Going barefoot through the sand,
Walking together, hand in hand.

Then he looks at you and smiles,
and it was obviously love from miles and miles.
He goes in him pocket, pulls out a necklace locket,
and you start to cry as you gaze upon it.

For inside is a picture of 2-
him.. with his arm round you.
The picture starts to blur but it's just a tear,
you'll always hold that locket near.

Then he turns and walks away,
and you've just had the most perfect day.
But then you wake in the morning at two,
and realize it was too good to be true.

We learn everything about Joe Crowell, Jr. in one moment of time, through the narrator/stage manager. What happens to Joe and when reading it, how did you feel about that? How did the playwright want you to feel?

Death is a discordant beat among the celebration of beginnings of new life, in the beginning of this first act. Why does the playwright include it?

Do you think no scenery and pantomimed actions—the paperboy throwing imaginary newspapers, an imaginary horse delivering imaginary milk bottles, the children pretending to eat breakfast, act, or distract, from the play? Why was the play written this way?

Why is there no inter-personal conflict in this story? (Hint: Wilder is not interested in directing us to observe in-depth personal stories.) What is he directing us to observe?

I like to read books by Chekov, James Joyce, Tolstoy, Hemingway, shakespeare, etc (literature, novel, detective, whatever, except TEENLIT). MY family said that it's not my age yet, I'm supposed to read books like princess diaries or whatever.. what do you think? Is it okay?
