I think they are quick ,entertaining reading, and watch it with one eye closed type movies. They are cute, kinda funny, a little dark......and more popular than I can understand. I also think their 15 minutes of fame has very few minutes left, and thankfully, we should soon see an end to the hyperbole about them.

the books are gr8, so are the movies but in my opinion the books are better and the movies get worse as they go along. The 4th movie [harry potter and the goblet of fire] was like 5 hours long and at the end i had to pee so bad i thought i woulg blow up. and the movie didn't even have all of the book stuff in it. and where was cho chang? jeez!

The book series is great. The movies are good, but as the series goes on, the movies suffer if you have read the books because of all the material they are having to leave out due to time constraints.

I much prefer reading the books because I know I'm reading them how J. K. Rowling intended to be. I read the first book after seeing the first movie, but I have managed to read the novels before seeing the remaining novels. I maintain with every film adaptation of a novel that you are watching the storyline unfold in the eyes of the screenwriters, producers and directors and seeing their version of a novel, and not the authors or even your own.

I love Harry Potter. I think that they're great books for any age, not just kids, and that's what's so appealing about them.
