need a book that is not like a thousand pages or anything to keep me busy over break; i like trashy romance novels and books that take you back to your childhood when you are crushing on guys or something (a book suitable for a 19 year old female)

Does anyone happen to know what the shortest chapter ever was in a published novel? What were the words in the chapter and what was the name of the book???

My favorite books Bernard Cornwell's Excalibur series (and everything else he writes), Larry McMurtry's Lonesome Dove series, and Gates of Fire by Stephen Pressfield. I have read the Dark tower series, alot of Larry Niven, David Eddings, Eragon, Otori series, Master and Comander and many others. I get my books on audio from audible so sometimes my choices are limited

I love to write, and I started something recently, but I decided not to finish it. I want to start writing a whole new thing, but I don't know how to get a good idea into my head. Any suggestions??

I like certain authors but I am interested in discovering new authors, but would like to find authors that write in a similar way to my favorite authors.

I know Virginia Andrews wrote many different series of books about different families, I am looking for a site that will tell me the books in each series and the order in which they are suppose to be read.

i don't see what's so cool about him(i didn't mean it like that but i couldn't find a better way to put it) most of his stuff is long and boring and has too many characters. in our school we are reading macbeth and i read three lines in that play i was already disinterested. i remember i read romeo and juliet in 8th grade, it's not as boring as macbeth but a lot of his writings i don't understand so do you like shakespeare or not? give me your opinion.

I love to read, so I'm always on the lookout for great books. Anything you guys recommend as a MUST READ? I enjoy just about anything (mostly fiction). Some examples of books I really enjoyed in the last year include:
The Harry Potter series
Dan Brown's "Angels & Demons", "The Da Vinci Code"
The Devil Wears Prada

I'm about to start reading Erik Larson's "The Devil in the White City" (recommended to me recently by a cab driver who thought it was fantastic).

I'm also a huge fan of Stephen King (though haven't read him in a while), & John Grisham.
As you can see, my tastes are ALL over the place.

Thanks guys!

I read this funny book but I couldn't understand if is it a true story or not. I made some searches 'round the internet but nothing was helpful for me. so... is it a true story, or just a romance written as a true story?
