It's not a poem, but a play: As You Like It

It's "As You Like It"

In a similar but darker vein is:
"Life's but a poor player
that struts and frets its hour upon the stage
and is heard no more
'tis a tale told by an idiot
Full of sound and fury
Signifying nothing"

From Macbeth .... sorry, the Scottish Play

"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players.
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages."

--From As You Like It (II, vii, 139-143)

Actually, I think that quote was in his play The Merchant of Venice.

your quote is so prosaic that I doubt it's an actual quote but I guess it has to be from one of his dramas. Maybe Othello but I could be wrong.
