The 1950's version of '' THE WAY THINGS WORK''. The book tells you how to make everything from soap and vinegar, to skinning and tanning hides or making a simple lathe. The book was originally written during the bomb shelter era in case civilization to a nosedive and helps to rebuild civilization from scratch. But it is also a good book to have around if you just want to learn how to 'do' for yourself. The 1950's book was in two volumes and was and is still in my opinion, better than the newer version out in one volume today.

I'm okay, you're okay. I read that book approximately twenty five years ago and it affects my life to this day. There's more to it, but to put it in a nutshell, if you don't like yourself then you won't like anyone else.
