I don't know if the book was a novel, but it was called Candy and Me, the chapter wasn't even a page long, and it said, "I love Trix!"

I once read a novel where there was only about three words in a chapter, but I don't remember the name of it.

I know in Stephen King's From a Buick 8, there's a chapter that's about 3 words long.
Frank McCourt's 'Tis has a one-word chapter (the word 'Tis), but it's not a novel.

Maybe not the shortest, but definitely one of the most known: Tristram Shandy with one sentence chapters. In fact, it's a great book if your looking for interesting narrative techniques.

there's a chapter-ish thing in a teen lit book, called "One of those Horrible Books where the Mother Dies". The chapter is "Things I am Thankful For." There are no words in the chapter.
there's another one I read when i was in elementary school called the music of dolphins, and it says, "I must get back to the sea."
