So, I'm writing a story. Anyways, it's kind of romantic, yet not. More drama than anything. These two 20 something kids fall in love...and so on and so forth. The girl ends up almost dead by an attempted murder by her father. The characters are in the singing business, and trying to help the girl produce a CD, since he is already famous far and wide. So, here's where I need your help. I need to put a wedge between the lovers, like something the man does while the girl is working on the record/recovering, with another woman. Preferrably not an affair because she has a bad temper, and my only choice would be to not have them get back together, which i want them to get back together. Please help!

Ok my general reading material is Anne Bishop, Christine Feehan, the more paranormal Nora Roberts, Anne Mccaffery, pretty much anything fantasy preferably with a splash of romance but it's not required. Anyone have any good recommendations? I've read pretty much everything by those authors and I've just run out of ideas here. I throw myself at the mercy of the internet. Don't fail me now!

here it goes-
IT DOES MAKE SENSE
Something that does not make sense is SENSELESS.
But something that does is the OPPOSITE.
So just think about it,
someting that is 'OPPOSITE' does not make sense
saying that it is senseless.
So the thing that is opposite is actually
something 'NEGATIVELY SENSELESS'.

I am looking for a poem that I read when someone passed away. It was an email about a coworkers sister that had died. Does anyone have any idea what I am talking about?

Stephen King's book, On Writing was very encouraging until I got near the end when he made an example of someone who had short story publications and so found it easier to find an agent.

I've written a novel and want to see it published but all I have to my name is a Ph.D. dissertation, a couple published articles, and some conference proceedings. Those are all non-fiction depicting cogntive psychology research. Do I have any shot of getting published? Would mentioning my non-fiction help me to find an agent or get published?
