i think a good autobiography is telling about your life things you like maybe tell about your your past or your life in your own way the way you see it.

An autobiography is a classic case of:
"It's not what you say...it's how you say it"
A dull writer can make the autobiography of Mick Jager boring!! and the autobiography of Walt Whitman interesting!!

honesty and humour.
People who try to gloss over unpleasant aspects of their life are not being honest ... part of the pleasure of an autobiography is understanding the makeup of that person, defects and all. Autobiographies are very boring if the person tries to portray themselves as perfect.

Someone who has actually lived for a substantial amount of time and has experiences to write about; not a reality TV star who is only writing the book for the money.
