It took me ages to finish great expectations, and I am not sure if I should give it a try again. I was so bored with it. Do you have any suggestions maybe for reading a more intersting one you liked or for me to start again with?

In her book it does have a sketch of the plate that has the sides bent down and straight out (almost like a very shallow bowl with sides), yet on a site for EPAG plates it describes the plate with the edges bent downward. I have one of each style plate. I would like to know if anybody has seen the bread plate that is like hers and what style it was. Both plates have the wheat sheaf and around the edges "Give us this day our daily bread". Any information would be greatful. Thanks

Lots of good writers, Hemingway, Fitzerald, Styron, Faulkner, were only able to write on a belly full of beer.
What about you?

I WROTE THIS POEM BUT TO ME IT DIDN'T REALLY HAVE A PARTICULAR MEANING. I JUST WROTE IT RANDOMLY HAHA

If the light of the moon was the smile that you showed me
if the smile that you revealed was as bright as the moon
then i wouldn't have to worry
then i wouldn't have to see
what's bringing us down into pieces
what's shattering the mirror
that reflects abundant sunshine.
if that light was what keeps me going, now
i would be starving
Your smile never shows
It's like asking for a blue mopon
It's like asking for another summer
Something impossible
if the light of the moon grew old, like us
if the light of the moon knew sadness and anger,
then there wouldn't be reason to smile
Then there wouldn't be a world to see
and just like i need the moon to see where i am going, just like that,
i need your smile to see if this will survive
if the clouds and the sun...and the circumstances will let us grow old,
and survive.

Are there any out there as good as Flowers in the Attic? I really care about the characters and I cry and suffer right along with them.

I read Into the Forest by Jean Hegland awhile ago, and it was excellent. Incest wasn't the main topic but it was touched upon.

Does any one think that the twins small size could have been because of the close relationship between the parents and not the lack of sunlight?

I just reread the first two novels for like the 6th time.

After 8 months, i think, Cathy and Chris noticed the kids weren't growing and measure them and they'd only grown 2 inches. Who's to say they would have grown if they'd been in the sun?

When do you think the Mother started poisoning them? They said the doughnuts started coming while their mother was on honeymoon. So do you think the grandmother and mother were in it together? Do you believe the mother when she said she only wanted to get them a little sick?

I know it's wrong, but I love Chris' undying love for Cathy, and I wish the third novel had been written in Chris' point of view, because I would have loved to know more about the girls he slept with and what he did while he was away from Cathy.

This new and is for publication. I need to know what message it conveys to you, what feelings, how you interpret it, meter, etc

The dashes are for visual spacing purposes only! Ignore!

"Above Her Shoulders"

The starry silhouette shining over her shoulders
_ _ beseeches: Re-align to a harder view!
_ _ Grand design always hearkens back to rue.

Tarry darkness, and damnable pin light smolders
_ _ amidst hollow heat, lest to mine eyes: the beholders.
_ _ So petty, none too fine, and all too few, true
_ _ feelings are felt when looking beyond her hue.

Reeling and falling, failing! Love hast grown colder.

So short a while, up on top. Such courtly smiles,
_ _ coyly, couldst never stop. Oh! Whoa! Such trials!

Thou, expanse above, hast lain a burden upon my breast,
_ _ revoking my dove’s ascent! Down to permanent rest!
_ _ Grief! No relief…I canst no longer hold her,
_ _ with such resplendence above her shoulders.
