Hi,
Some of these I read when I was a bit older than you, but all are wonderful:
"A Tree Grows In Brooklyn" - Betty Smith
"A Taste of Blackberries" - Doris Buchanan Smith
"The Pigman" - Paul Zindel
"The Chocolate War" & "I Am The Cheese" - Robert Cormier
"Little Women" - Louisa May Alcott
"The Heart Is A Lonely Hunter" - Carson McCullers
Any Judy Blume titles
If you haven't tried already, the Harry Potter series is terrific!
I hope some of these help. I too was a major bookworm and the books I have listed here were in my top favorites. I hope you love them and let us know how your Winter reading goes!!

I'm reading this good book called "my lost and found life"by melodie bowsher. Its about a girl who has a perfect life like popularity, a hot boyfriend, great fashion sense but then everything changes when her mom is accused of emmbezzling a million dollars and her mom suddenly dissapers. So she has no
money, no family and the worst thing is that she cant go to college and that her mom cant be found anywhere. I think its really good why dont you check it out.
There is also a good series called the Clique series. By Liz herrison. So far she wrote 6 books but start out with the first one called "The clique" second "Best Friends For never" third "Revenge of the Wannabes" fourth " Invasion Of the boy snatchers. fifth "the pretty committee strikes back" sixth "dial l for loser and the seventh one which is coming out this march called "Its not easy being mean" When i started reading these books i couldnt stop! they are really addicting hope youll check them out

I was going to suggest Harry Potter and Eragon/Eldest, but somebody beat me to it! So, here's some more....
"Are you there god? It's me, margaret" by Judy Blume
(an oldie, but a goodie)
"The Chronicles of Narnia" by CS Lewis (there are seven books here)
"The Landover Novels" by Terry Brooks..include
1. Magic Kingdom for Sale, Sold!
2. The Black Unicorn
3. Wizard at Large
4. The Tangle Box
5. Witch's Brew
and if you're into horror...Stephen King's "Carrie" is a good one.
When I was your age, I also enjoyed "Jurassic Park" and "The Lost World", but Michael Crichton (they are much better than the movies, but most books are)

The series that starts with 'Homecoming' by Cynthia Voigt. They are really good and are about a family, the eldest is thirteen. Their mum abandons them and so they walk to be with their grandmother. Also 'I am David' by Ann Holm, excellent, though sad. 'Truckers', 'Diggers' and 'Planes' by Terry Pratchett are funny and if you like fantasy books by Diana Wynne Jones are good. Start with 'The Lives of Christopher Chant'.

I was forced to read "The Late Great Me" by Sandra Scoppettone in freshman year of advance English in high school---but it turned out to be an actually really cool book-and funny, too. Its about a girl about your age trying to overcome alcohol addiction.
