In chapter 6 i have to answer a question about the quote "but a sign came down from the world of grown-ups, though at the time there was no child awake to read it." It then goes on about the guy with the parachute but wat kinda sign is it? how does it compare to wats going on in the book during WW2? PLZ help me

What is the factor that makes people rich? suppose some people say that he/she is very luck that she got xyz job, but reality would be the other way round. hardwork, patience, dedication and focus would have made him/her achieve that position. My question is, Is that luck makes the difference(rich) or can we make that defference(rich) ourself?

I am looking for a paying job as a typist for a writer. I can "live-in" to make it easier and to be on-call at any time. Will relocate, if living situation is adequate, and will assist with household duties, if necessary. Working with a writer, will help me to learn to write, as well.

die mense wat ek lief het kom groei op my soos mos. daar laat ek hul na hartelus gedy en loop ek deur die wereld, beskut teen die koue. die snoesigheid self. ek met my moskombersie. En as daar n oorlog kom, word die mense wat ek lief het n ekstra horinglaag. so marsjeer ek deur die wereld, gepantser teen die vuur, die onaantasbaarheid self. ek met my harnas van been.maar as iemand wat op my gegroei het weg moet gaan kom sit daar n seerplek. so sluip ek deur die wereld, die kwesbaarheid self. ek met my seerplek wat nie wil genees nie.
