news paper storys in and headlines and you can zoom in and read the whole thing cause theres one in my book but i need to know the proper name other that um...paper machine. thank you so much!

A microfiche. You wouldn't really use this for modern searchng, they woudl be in archives for looking at old papers.

The papers are photod and the images reduced onto a film. The microfiche machine then magnifies it for you.

They are about th size of a large monitor, have a light and fan in them

Microfiche are are thin sheets of film around A5 in size
Microfilm is more like a film you get in a camera

It is called a Microfiche (that is the correct spelling) and here is a pretty good description from good old Wikipedia:

Definitely a Microfiche reader. Please check the spelling though (the check spelling feature seems to think the che bit is a misspelled word!). You could try one out in a library probably.

You probably mean a Micro Fiche reader (I'm not totally sure that the spelling is right) that's what they use in libraries for that kind of thing, try looking it up on-line to be sure.
