Most of the theories about what will happen in book 7 that contradict them. For example, some people think that Harry is a hoarcrux, but if that were true, Voldemort would not want to destroy him.

So here's my theory, no contradictions:
Fact: Something almost killed Voldemort the night James and Lily died.
Fact: Voldemort had hoarcruxes already at that point.
Fact: James gave Dumbledore his invisibility cloak for Harry.
Fact: Lily stepped into the Avada Kedavera meant for Harry.

My theory that reconciles these facts: James found out that when someone willingly takes the Avada Kedavera for someone else, that the curse backfires, killing the one using the curse. James and Lily sent Pettigrew to Voldemort to lure him to Godric's Hollow, with the intent to kill Voldemort by sacrificing themselves. They did not know about the hoarcruxes, which is why the plan failed. Harry will find out about this plan and try to finish the job in book 7, after destroying hoarcruxes.

I've recently discovered this author, and thanks to a big garage sale was able to pick up about 12 of his novels. I've read one, and realized that I was reading out of order. The list of books that he's written are in alphabetical order in the covers. I've put them together by his copywrite date, not the publishers because he's had more than one publisher. I'd really like to read them in the correct order since they share some common characters. I think some of them MUST be read in order to get the whole story. But I think all of them share some of the same characters. Any help you could provide will be greatly appreciated.

I can't stand to let my daughter read those books! I'm afraid she's going to pick up the bad grammar. They also set a poor example for readers as far as punctuation usage, complete sentences, etc. My daughter loves them, though, and I have to admit some of them are funny.

The poem i read was called footprints or something similar. It was symbolizing how each day was a new day and how the waves at night washed away the footprints of the previous day as saying that each day you start clean.

I wanted to know what would be a good fiction book for an oral book report I have on October 29th. It should be not too long (not like 400 pgs, 200-300 would be good) and relatively easy to make an oral book report on. The report should be 3 min and under 4 min so it can't be a book that has many many different events going on. I must be a fiction and should have a strong theme or attitude that the author intends to express. I also would like the events easy to memorize. THANKS!

Peterkin Pog,
Had a goggly gog,
Neither a cat and neither a dog,
It wiggled and woggled and walked on it's/his toes,
And followed Peterkin Pog where ever he goes.

This was in a book I had as a child in the 1973
I have never known anyone else who knows this rhyme and I would hate it to die with me, I do not know who wrote it and I don't remember what book it was in. All I remember about the book is my mother gave it to me when my cat got ran over when I was 5.

I nodded off EVERY TIME I tried to read it. Even in the middle of the afternoon when I wasn't tired before I started.

Also, did anyone enjoy it? For me, the best part was making up silly superhero/villain names for the characters.

The book was a lot more interesting when it was about X-ter and The Minister of Death. Pearl had the power to become invisible, because we kept losing track of her in the movie. She'd just be missing from a scene all of a sudden. :D
