I prefer adventure/fantasy stories and the young adult section, but I also love meaningful and insightful stories. Walking through these book sections can be a bit overwhelming...I don't know what's worth reading and what isn't. What books or book series are your favorites?

No books about retired school teachers, please. ^_^

Do you like this book? I know it's a childrens book, but I just love it. It's such a beautiful story. One of Munch's best, I'd say.

My daughter-in-law is making a memory album for their triplets who were born on October 5, 2003. I'd like to know if there were any books published in 2003 that were instant classics, best sellers, award winning, etc.

I am publishing a small volume of poetry, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good font to use for the type? I'd prefer not to use arial and times new roman and all the regulars if I don't have to. I need something both readable and beautiful, without being distracting from the words themselves.

It can be either fiction or nonfiction. Also, please tell me briefly what the book is about and who the author is.

The book was about a pre-historic medicine man that was genetically altered by aliens so that he would never die. I remember one part where a saber tooth tiger ripped off one of his arms and it grew back. He was able to control every cell in his body and even change his shape.

In one part of the book, he purposely became a prisoner of the ancient Aztecs or Mayans with the intent of putting an end to human sacrafices.

Eventually, he lived far into the future where he met an alien life form that he was able to communicate with via some type of mind probe.

Any ideas?
