I'm looking for fiction books that deal with a father/son relationship. Perhaps with them being policemen, detectives, lawyers, etc. Does anyone have any suggestions for books of this type to read?

I'm also looking for fiction books that deal with fathers and younger sons. Dad being a policeman, detective, lawyer, etc. and being a single parent of a 8 to 15 year old son.
Does anyone have any suggestions for books of this type to read?

i don't quite get how the swap in paintings is beneficial to the main character, and how all the bits at the end tie in. Basically, it would be great if you could explain the last chapter to me properly in detail. Thanks!

I love books about other cultures, historical people, books that make you think a bit (I'm not really into chick lit). Anyone read anything amazing recently?

I need a NOVEL in English which first features the struggle of the main character, then after reaching his or her goal or peak (something like he/she got what he/she is struggling for), the main character experiences his/her downfall, a sort of he/she went down from his/her peak.... I need these events in order, please please please... Be kind enough to be serious with me... 2 examples are "The house of the spirits" by Isabel Allende and "The Good Earth"...Thanks!!!!

art is a divine flame that must set fire to the world, until the world with all its infamy and anguish, burns and melts way in redeeming compassion.

if it's actually you, you'll no doubt know where this comes from.

so long.
