I really liked Dr. Phil when he was just a shrink that made guest appearances on Oprah, but now that he has his own show, it just seems that he uses his fame to flog his self-help books. I have not purchased or read one of his books, but find myself curious if they truly are filled with wisdom and information. Have you ever purchased and/or read one of his books and if yes, please advise me if they were worth it. Thanks all!

I don't always have time to enjoy my passion of reading. I would like to "read" books while at work or driving in the car.

Would anyone be interested in collaborating on a story through these very pages? Sort of like the artwork you did as a kid where one person drew the head, the next the body and so on. If we start with a theme and go from there, I think we can have a laugh and see what we can come up with. If anyone is interested I'll post the first few lines in a couple of days and we'll see what happens. For those who are interested, answers on a postcard please...

I'm searching for the entire series through amazon, ebay, and whatever means I can find! The books are numbered and titled, the series is named EDGE, and the author is George G. Gilman. These are westerns printed in the 70s through the 80s and this is a special gift to my father. I dont know how many books are in the series, and if anyone can tell me, or direct me as to where I can find the answer to that, please let me know! Your feedback will be much appreciated! THANK YOU!

In my opinion JONATHAN LIVINGSTONE SEAGULL (Richard Bach).
Coz it tells that we can overcome any limitation with patience & we all are an unlimited idea of freedom.

Learn or learned a language just to read a certain book or author in the native and original text?

Am I the only person who has reservations of reading a translated book since it is not exactly the authors original words? I just feel its no different than have someone rewriting a book in their own style.

Almost every girl I have ever talked to (and its a lot, some of which I wish I didn't) say that they think vampires are sexy. Why? Is it a control thing ie the hypnosis, or do they just like tall dark and handsome men with apast a la Lord Byron? So...yeah...whats the deal? I know a chap named Barlow from a town called Salem's Lot who can help me out. I mighht do it, but...if its for something stupid I think I will just pass. So ladies..why do you like the vamps?

My story is a gothic romance set in 1799 England. So it's about a gypsy girl who is adopted by a kind clergyman. When she grows up and the clergyman dies, she is sent to the clergyman's nephew who is to be the girl's gaurdian. And this nephew is one of those "tall, dark, and brooding" wealthy gentleman with a horrifying family secret. I was planning to call this story "The man who cried" but then my friend told me it was already the name of a movie starring some dude called Johnny Depp. And the last thing I want is people to think that I copied the name. So, does anyone have a good title for this dark story??

I'm planning on writing a book about a guy who gets married and finds out his wife is cheating on him with his uncle and at the same time his close sister that lives with him and his wife is getting into trouble while the rest of his family can't endure what is going on and (not literally) go crazy-- think this will turn out crappy? Be honest, would you read anything like this?
