I'm writing this fantasy novel, and along the way my main character becomes infatuated with an incredibly attractive, erotic-looking woman. However... This part of the plot was a last minute change for me, so I don't have a name for her. Any ideas?

There is a web site www.heritagecookbook.com which publishes your recipes. You add the recipe and the web site collates these recipes and put it in book form. The cost of the book is determined by the number of pages and how many copies you order. Is there a web site that does something similar for memoirs or novels?.

I can`t get an agent unless I don`t have to meet with them. I prefer not to have an agent, but I doubt thats possible. Basically I was wondering if there`s a famous/big publishing company that will actually get my book out there and not just have five or six readers. If so, how can I contact an agent or, more preferably, send my manuscript immediately to the publishing company to see if I can get it published. Maybe over the internet, but I just don`t want to get scammed and have someone else steal my story. I also don`t want self-publishing, because no one will have ever heard about it. Obviously not saying huge like Harry Pootter huge, but you know, something you would find in your average book store and that most people know at least one person whos actually read it. I know you can`t make any promises with that, but I want to find a publisher where its actually possible and likely.

I am a sophomore in high school. In our English class we took a readin comprehension test thinger and I scored as being able to read around 550 words per minute with a relatively high comprehension. I am not surprised about these stats or anything.. just trying to give you a better picture of my situation. So, we each had to pick out a free read book for the class. I want to get involved in the Dark Tower series as it seems so alluring to me..

I guess the real question is, I know I can handle the story, but is the content (R material type stuff?) so bad the teacher will tell me "No, you can't read that?"

I mean.. I'm sure swearing and "scary/dark" material is fine. I guess I'm asking if there is alot of gruesome or sexual content.. We did read Go Ask Alice which I guess would be classified as pretty minimal sexual content compared to other stuff, but I really just need advice.

To bring, or not to bring. That is the question.

Passages such as “…to my God my heart did cry to strengthen me in my distress and not to leave me succorless” (Bradstreet line 5) illustrate that even though she dealt with pain at that particular time in her life, she still prayed for guidance.

should i change such as to like?
