It is a memoir, based on life events, but parts are really stretched. From interviews and stories I have read about the author, it is far enough from reality to be considered fiction.

Worse! It's a Cr*p novel. It was written as non, but then the guy got caught in all of his lies when his family sold him out. Don't buy or read anything with an Oprah Book of the Month Club seal on it. If you want good reading suggestions, go to the NYTimes Book Review on-line. Not, the NYT Best Seller list, this is different. There are tons of great books being reviewed by great writers who KNOW what great writing is. Oprah doesn't.

Fruit-cake feels like something scientific expert Leonard "Bones" McCoy could say. So in the journey that your scientist has a dry humorousness, i could choose that to clue the reader in on what variety of guy or woman Papagee is. If he's greater of a "only the info, Jack" variety, then i could honestly choose selection #2. additionally, i don't comprehend what tone you intend on utilising. Fruit-cake brings greater easy to the hollow, the place the term enthusiast could have a undeniable gravity to it in this context.

There are elements of fiction in it. It was a good read, whatever it was. I don't know why everyone got their panties all in a wad over it. BFD, ya know? My Friend Leonard was also good. I read it too, and didn't want my money back one time. It simply should have had a disclaimer on it. No biggie.

No, Frey wrote it as nonfiction, which is why he got in trouble. All of his claims in the book have not all turned out to be true. Still, many addicts will still read it anyway, for insight despite if some of the fraudulent claims are true.

It is a guy's story but he added some extra abuse to spice it up! I saw them on Oprah talk to him about it. It was a good book though.

Supposedly, there's some truth to it, but when you embellish, it becomes fiction.
