Because I don't think Voldemort was able to use his own wand and maybe Wormtail was using it. He definitely ordered the death of Cedric and remember there were a lot of people coming out of his wand and he may have been responsible for them all or he may have just ordered their deaths.

remember priory incatatem(only if you have read the book). What happens is that when two wand are made from the feathers of the same phoenix or the brothers, their wand don't act properly against each other.the phoenixes whose feathers were used to make voldy's and harrys wands were bros. Therefore they repelled. In such a situation as this the incantation of all the dead ones killed by the wand start comming out. Cedric was the last to be killed. So he came out first. wormtail uses voldy's wand

Wormtail used Voldemort's wand.
Wormtail didn't have his own wand at the time, and Wormtail took hold of it and used it to kill Cedric.

Wormtail is Voldemort's servant, and did as he was instructed in killing Cedric. But, he killed him with Voldemort's wand. He was the Potter's Secret Keeper, so he probably led Voldemort to their home in Godric's Hollow the night they were murdered. When Voldemort's killing curse rebounded on him I'm betting that Peter took his wand with him. He has probably had it hidden away somewhere since then, planning on giving it back to him upon his return. Remember, Voldemort's followers didn't believe that he had died. The Longbottom's were tortured by Death Eaters trying to get information about his location.

Justin H is correct. Wormtail didn't have his own wand and he was supposed to be dead so he couldn't just walk into a wand shop and get one. He used Voldemort's then gave it to him after he robed him.

yes but he was killed with voldemorts wand. since wormtail has no wand of his own. wormtail spent many years as a rat and could not carry around a wand, he also had to use someone Else's want to get away in the 3rd book. and since he had no wand he used voldemorts because voldemort couldn't use it himself.

I just re-read that section and it doesn't specify whose wand Wormtail used so I'm going to assume that he used Voldemort's wand.

Nice question. I think that his servant killling someone is equal to him killing someone. and also, voldemort ordered wormtail to kill him and wormtail himself did not want to kill Cedric. So it makes sense.
