I'm afraid the classics rule with me. Brahm Stoker's Dracula and Mary Shelly's Frankenstein still scare me after many readings. And of course, anything by Edgar Allen Poe. The novel The Haunting of Hill House by Shirley Jackson is terrifying. They did a terrible job on the remake of the movie.

For me it is Stephen King's dark Tower series because of the fact those seven books embody maximum of his different thoughts and it is an epic tale; a classic occasion of a positioned up-apocalyptic worldwide with a twist of time warping and exchange dimensions as in basic terms Stephen King can do, and the perfect tale that delves into the horrors of the human suggestions. I saved on the edge of my seat waiting for the 5th e book to come back out after i might examine the fourth like i might expected no longer something earlier :)
