here's the possible beginning of my story "Phobia" and i hope this seems terrifying enough for you.

The wind shifts as the moon rises. The ground is empty, and the trees seem to arch towards the school as if warning of danger. The school seems normal, so peaceful. But lies inside. A presence that was alone. It passes through the silent halls. The hair covers the girl’s face. The hall seems icy cold and bare. She slowly drags her bare feet across the cold tile floor. The sound this girl makes is almost inaudible as the lips ominously move slightly.
Behind the school, a lake seems to disturbed. Ripples have begins to appear and the frogs seem to fear the lake.
The sound is growing, and it seems to be almost, not human. Through the darken hall there is a door to a small closet. Legs are dangling. The pair of leg of the janitor, who is working late tonight, lifts inches from the floor. His face was full of horror and the hair coming from the ceiling, is tightening around his neck, pull

I've had a great idea.... why dont we all come up with a paragraph and make up a story following the last person that wrote their paragraph and why don't we become the first ever storybook made up by the people of Answers....Let the fun begin....

What kind of book is it? Is it the story, the plot, the author's style of writing, all of the above, or something else that makes this book your absolute favorite?

ok, i am gonna tell you that this story is a ghost horror film, inspiration to the folklore of japanese horror.

It's about a girl who was killed. she haunts a school, and she exposes her victims of their deepest fear. Title is called "Phobia"

I do wonder, like in the beginning, is it ok to have a bit of comic joke like once in a while? not that it wouldn't be scary, it'll be hauntingly frightening dtory.

I don't want to be ripped off! It is something I have always wanted to do and suspect it will take quite a while. I am just wondering what I need to be aware of.
My major problem is I don't know how to start writing it! I have tried to plan it but still don't know how to actually start. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly accepted.

Thanks for any help you can give.

My family really would like me to do something with my writing. They are heavilly conviced that I write really well. I actually would much rather just become an illustrator/animator, but...

So to appease my family and of course have a little fun :) I want to publish a book of my poems and short stories. It would really be a great gift for them since I'm normally particular about what I allow them to read...so, does anyone know of an affordable company that I could contact to have it published after I have it copyrighted?

What do you think about the prequels (house corrino, house atreides and the butlerian jihad series) written by Frank herberts son? I think that he is destroying frank herbert's legacy. Brian is a lousy writer

Harry Potter, How to Eat Fried Worms, James and the Giant Peach, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. I mean Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn are classics! I also saw the To Kill A Mockingbird is on the list. I mean I guess people say that it is "racist" but it is a classic and the main character is defending a minor! I was an actual part of history and yes people should be sorry for it, but it happened and there is no reason to ban a classic.

Okay, so just, if you can, tell me why some of these books are banned and what you think about them. Do you agree that they should be banned or not?

After this year and the next, I will be off to college. I have a few novels to read during my leisure time or when I'm just bored. I'm only familiar with a few authors and I know people are reading books written by different authors. I just want some opinons on books I could bring or some authors I can try.
( I have books from Brian Jacques, John Grisham, Danielle Steel, and Sir Walter Scott.)

I enjoy mystery, suspense, chick lit, and more. The only genres I don't read are horror and romance. i'm kinda burnt out on reading all the same best selling authors!
