What did you think of it?

I personally thought it was a very good book...how Jean Valjean was once a convict and later he turned into someone soft hearted who cared about other people, and he didn't steal anymore.
That he later broke into people's houses to put money on their table or bed side, when he was a rich man.
That book was so good...i think im gonna read it again.

I read it about 16 or 17 years ago and can't find anyone who has even heard of the book. I've tried to look it up on the net, but have not been able to find anything! Can you please help. If this helps it was about a necklace that takes a girl back in time.

I'm trying to find a great book I read many years ago back in the '80s
at the Selby Public Library in Sarasota, Florida. Am hoping someone
else has read it or knows about it and can help me find the title,
etc. so I can purchase a copy.

This book was about preserving national/state parks, but it wasn't an
ordinary book -- it proposed many futuristic (well, back then...)
concepts on revitalizing the role of these parks for the public with a
strong focus towards "green" thinking and energy conservation. Some of
the main ideas discussed in the book was the use of solar powered
trains, prohibiting vehicular traffic inside the parks,
environmentally sustainable cabins/facilities, etc. and it included
great pen/pencil sketches of the ideas contained within, including
maps, blueprints, etc.

It truly was a fascinating book that really made a big impression on
me back then and was full of great ideas on alternative ways of taking
care of and running national/state parks. It was also not just

In my story, there's a girl whose living with her upper-class family in 1799 England. Her parents are really strict, really religious, very conventional, and very wealthy. Her parents DELIBERATELY made her weak character-wise, so that their daughter might always rely on them. But then the girl meets an artist, a poor artist, who opens to her of a world of freedom and passion. So, I'm wondering what could be the reason why the girl wavers between choosing to run away with this artist or staying with her parents. I need a GOOD and COMPELLING reason....not jsut the easy way out of it being money against love. Any physcological reason that bonds her parents??

It is about a man who goes on a quest but instead runs into a wise old Chinese dragon who visits him periodically and tells him parables related to faith and sprituality- It's St. George and the Dragon or something like that.
