What did you think of it?

I personally thought it was a very good book...how Jean Valjean was once a convict and later he turned into someone soft hearted who cared about other people, and he didn't steal anymore.
That he later broke into people's houses to put money on their table or bed side, when he was a rich man.
That book was so good...i think im gonna read it again.

Simply great.....and though I had to read this one of the all time classics as part of college study, but later when in free time I read it again, I found its so mesmerizing....later I learnt that Victor Hugo was inspired by the real life criminal namely Francois Eugene Vidocq.....isn't this interesting? Well, thats the real magic of great work.....its great thinking that you are once again going to read it.....and I am sure you will feel excited as you were at first time.

I loved the book, so I may reread it as soon as I finish a book I'm writing now. The 1930's movie is great. Who could play Inspector Javert better than Charles Laughton? Jean Valjean wasn't such a bad man. He stole a loaf of bread when he was starving. Javert is psychotic to pursue anyone so relentlessly for such a minor crime.

I read it quite a few years ago, and loved it. It is definitely a classic, and is at the top of the list of books I would bring on a deserted island. It is so complex and wonderfully written.
