(a million) the autumn - Albert Camus (2) The Tipping element/Outliers - Malcolm Gladwell (Blink is okay, yet a lot gave the impression of common sense) (3) The very last Lecture - Randy Pausch (4) The Kite Runner - Khaled Hosseini (5) The devil's highway - that's been a twelve months or so and that i visit't keep in mind the author, even with the indisputable fact that that's an exceedingly good e book.

My brothers book Into The Dark, 30yrs in the RUC. It is written with humour, and is true. The book is very engaging and also harrowing in parts, Only released last year, but is still a hot seller.
It gives the public an insight into the troubles in Ireland as it follows his career from when he joined the force through a roller coaster of emotions till his retirement in 2000, as he fought for justice in a world of collusion, by his own senior colleagues and the special branch. His name is Johnston Brown

I should probably say something like 1984, Wuthering Heights or Lord of the Rings which are all quite memorable but I'm going to have to be labelled a complete philistine and say Nightwatch by Terry Pratchett. :)

It would have to be 'My Sister's Keeper' by Jodi Picoult... The first time I read it, it blew me away, the characters felt real to me and I cried whenever they cried and laughed whenever they laughed. It toughed and made me realise how lucky I am to have a 'normal' family most of the time... The book "...examines what it means to be a good parent, a good sister, a good person. Is it morally correct to do whatever it takes to save a child's life… even if that means infringing upon the rights of another? Is it worth trying to discover who you really are, if that quest makes you like yourself less?" And I'll read it again and again...
