ok, i am gonna tell you that this story is a ghost horror film, inspiration to the folklore of japanese horror.

It's about a girl who was killed. she haunts a school, and she exposes her victims of their deepest fear. Title is called "Phobia"

I do wonder, like in the beginning, is it ok to have a bit of comic joke like once in a while? not that it wouldn't be scary, it'll be hauntingly frightening dtory.

Ignore the previous advice, it is wrong, Wrong, WRONG!

The first chapter sets the tone of the novel. If indeed, this is a seriously scary novel, you must charge out of the gate with a frightening bang. Do you have ambitions to get this published?
No agent or editor is going to read past the first few pages of the opening chapter. If they're not totally grabbed by page three they'll drop your manuscript like a hot rock.

You literally have to make them scream for more. And if you throw in jokes, you'll ruin it, unless you're attempting to write a spoof (in which case, your opening pages better be loaded with humor).

Later on in a serious manuscript you can throw out a joke or two. It's welcomed and can help break the tension. But never do this in the first three chapters -- ever -- unless you intend to write pure humor. Trust me on this.

please tell me, does your story to be is a comic / manga or nobe?
i think you should add a little bit jokes to create a suspension of horror. coz if you create a total horror story without jokes, it would be a boring tale.
if you wanna create comic/manga, it's ok to put comic jokes, but if you'll create a novel, you should prefer "high intellectual" jokes.

Go for it, and hope you'll be a success author. Dont forget to send me a copy.. LOL

jokes are okay. Just be yourself and write whatever you think would happen. Then when you're done with the overall plot, go back and create subplots to happen within the scenes (love story, small battles the character has to face, etc.)
