in a town where their is a huge gap between rich and poor.
a town called Lake river uptown lives the rich class who live like royalty meanwhile downtown the poor class live like animals.
The mayor of the town Slyvian Garcia, the richest man in the town has everything from expensive cars to expensives clothing
he was a very powerful man and very evil as well one time news spreaded that an inspector was coming to visit the town, every year a inspector vists a city to see the conditions and later he and a group vote on the best place to live in, Gracia knows of course this will do good for the economy which is low and other economic deals such as exports and imports trading deals.
But for that to be able to happen garcia knows he can't let the inspector see the lower class of the town (downtown that is) so one day he decides that he will rebuild the lower part of River Lake
and that meant destroying homes for the people who already live their, but the poor class will not go down.

My copy of this book is in pristine condition other than my name is written in ink in the upper right corner of the blank page which precedes the title page. Does this decrease it's value? Should I cut that corner of the page off, or leave it as it is? Note: The original dust jacket is perfect other than a small wrinkle on the top where it meets the spine of the book.

Ah. question is pretty self-explanatory. Which do you prefer?

Personally, it'd have to depend on the quality of the book, how well the loose ends were tied, the closure of relationships, etc.

I prefer fanfiction to the actual work most of the time... merely because... the authors must restrain themselves from publishing anything too shocking, so I believe they censor what they write to fit a wider population. True, there are a lot of fanfiction pieces that are just a waste of time to read, but the truly spectacular ones... are sometimes four times better than the original storyline. They don't have to establish the characters, as they are already well-known... they can sometimes bring attention to relationships that the author did not focus much on... they can go beyond what the author had in mind for characterization. They can let us squealing fangirls have what we want but is never given in a book-- the passionate sidestories that the author never includes.

the first line is " it was a dark and stormy night." any help on the title and author would be appreciated. i know there's an annual 'worst fiction' contest named after the author.

My wife wants to find this book. She remembers it when she was a child. It is about a girl pig who has a purse with some sort of wish bone in it. She is in the forest and is a bit like little red riding hood as there is a wolf. She says the binding is pink and the pig is in a dress.
