Good ideas here. Please do more research on bipolar disorders. A psychologist could help Ricky (why such a young name for an adult) but a psychiatrist would prescribe medication, which is what he would need first of all. Keep writing, but do your research, the experts would tear this theory all apart, I'm afraid. You have a good start. Good Luck!

Well, the main thing you should do before writing this is research bipolar disease a bit more. Get a feel for the symptoms and behaviors of people who have this disease so you can make Ricky as believable as possible. Also, think about your conflict and basic plot. Are you going to have this in the perspective of the doctor or Ricky? Is the main story going to be around Ricky healing or his movie fantasies? Consider points of view, and what kind of climax you're heading towards as well: will he start to get better or not? Once you have a basic "plot map" in mind, just start writing and go with what you feel in the story, regardless of what people say. Good luck writing!!

Before you write, buy some books on how to write a book. Take some classes. Perfect your English. Good storyline idea. I'll say about a 7. How old are you? Just curious.

Good plot, but actually it's not enough. Great books are grate due to the style of writing. There are plenty of books about Romeo and Juliette, but only Shakespeare is considered to be genius. Think about that

If I were you I would get some English lessons before you consider writing anything. Is this an autobiogrophy.

It sounds like Ricky may have schizophrenia.
