My favorite part is the meeting of Harry and Voldemort's wands in the Goblet of Fire.

It just seems like a turning point in the books, where Harry's true power is really showing, and it's like Voldemort, at that moment, realizes that he does not have the ultimate power over Harry. Even though Voldemort just went through a whole ritual to make it possible for him to touch Harry, Harry still has something more, something stronger, and Voldemort will not be able to defeat him. Everything about this scene is carefully scripted (way to go JKR!), with the ghosts coming out of the wands, the Phoenix song, etc., which makes for one of the most powerful and complex scenes in all of the books.

Hmm...wow what a question! Let me see... I would say that my favorite character is Albus Dumbledore. His character is always kind though mysterious, with an underlying power concealed within him. And how Dumbledore's character changes throughout the 6th book somewhat is very interesting. Like how it's repeated throughout the books, "Dumbledore's the only one he ever feared" after all. My favorite quote is, of course, the prophecy of the orb "neither can live while the other survives". It's very forboding and foretells the last book. Also, Dumbledore's quote of "death is merely the next great adventure". My favorite part is either the Second Task in Book 4 or Dumbledore's and Harry's business at the underground lake in Book 6. My favorite books are Book 6 and Book 2, and my favorite movie is Book 2.

As much money and life as you could want! The two things most human beings would choose above all - the trouble is, humans do have a knack of choosing precisely those things that are worst for them. ~J.K. Rowling, "The Man with Two Faces," Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, 1997, spoken by the character Albus Dumbledore

If you want to know what a man's like, take a good look at how he treats his inferiors, not his equals. ~J.K. Rowling, "Padfoot Returns," Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, 2000, spoken by the character Sirius Black

Fred and George: "Blown up a toilet seat? We've never blown up a toilet. Great idea though, thanks mum."

"I don't know who Maxime thinks she's kidding. If Hagrid's half-giant, she definitely is. Big bones... the only thing that's got bigger bones than her is a dinosaur."

"Pity you can't attach an extra arm to yours [broom], Malfoy. Then it could catch the Snitch for you."

"Yeah, Quirrell was a great teacher. There was just that minor drawback of him having Lord Voldemort sticking out of the back of his head!"

"This is night, Diddykins. That's what we call it when it goes all dark like this."

"Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow,
Turn this stupid, fat rat yellow."

Hermione frowned at Ron.
"He's not a nutter, Ron--"
"His life's ambition is to have his head cut off and stuck up on a plaque just like his mother," said Ron irritably. "Is that normal, Hermione?"

"Percy wouldn't recognize a joke if it danced naked in front of him wearing Dobby's tea cozy."

"You don't want to bottle your anger up like that, Harry, let it all out," said Fred, beaming. "There might be a couple people fifty miles away who didn't hear you."

"You're a prefect? Oh Ronnie! That's everyone in the family!" [Molly Weasley]
"What are Fred and I? Next door neighbours?"

"I believe your friends Misters Fred and George Weasley were responsible for trying to send you a toilet seat. No doubt they thought it would amuse you."

"To the well organized mind, death is but the next great adventure."

"It's lucky it's dark...I haven't blushed so much since Madame Pomfrey told me she liked my new earmuffs."

"I wouldn't go out with you if it was a choice between you and the giant squid."
