I have a poem that was picked by the selection committee that has been certified to be published in a book called IMMORTAL VERSES SERIES I found the book on the web site and it is not there. As anyone else had this problem with poetry .com. I have looked thew every page 3 times this past week and it's not there. I received a letter that it would be published in that book. on my letter it states the release date is fall 2006/the one I found on the web site was winter 2006. Is this the same book? I decided to call the contact number on the site and I am hung up on /cut off.
I want some answers?

I've finished Rose Madder (my favorite so far) and I am about to read Angels and Demons by Dan Brown. I have Delores Caliborne(spelled right?) by King, but haven't started it yet. What is your favorite?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant,
gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously
give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Hes placeing a personals ad in the newspaper. He talks about himself, what he wears, where he lives, what he does for a liveing in the beginning, Them relizeing that whats he wrote isnt the truth about himself. He writes the truth about himself. It isnt a very long poem i dont believe, but when reading something it seems smaller.

Remember its about a MAN placeing the ad not a women.

I'm assuming a lot of people have read this particular book since Stephen King's books are all best sellers. But I thought this book was amazing. How does Mr. King do it? "It" and "The Green Mile"
are my favorites. They contain every great element of a story.

I find it discouraging that all the agents I mail to send back a one sentance reply, usually torn off, not even on a full page of paper and never even formaly say my name or my book in the paper. I bet EB White never had to put up with this sh#@! It really looks discouraging. My book is great, but no one gives me the time of day, saying "sorry, we only work with published authors." Make me one, so you can work with me! I say.
