Are you 9? or 19? or 49? Male or female? What have you read already? Fiction is a broad category. Stephen King and Danielle Steele both write fiction. William Faulkner and Charles Dickens both wrote fiction. None of them are anything like any of the others.
It's hard to make a recommendation without a little foundation.

Go to Amazon.com and search
"Lost from Atlantis Book 1" - book 2 is coming out in the next month or two, and 3 is already written and in editing.
"Death by Murder David Lindsay" - you have to search that way for it to come up. There's a lot of sex and violence in it but it's good, not gratuitous.
and "Super Spaghetti."

They're free on Amazon's Kindle Unlimited, and you can Google how to get a free trial of that. And you can get a free Kindle app for your phone or just read them online.

If you like fantasy, give King Fortis the Brave a try. It's about a pair of twins that are transported to a magical world where they are caught in the middle of a battle for control of the land. It has humor, action and adventure and is one of my favorite books!

If you like fiction you certainly will love this book, probably you have heard of it. Is called "The Alchemist" by the brazilian novelist Paulo Coelho.
It is a good way to show people, how they can keep hope in any situation and achieve their dreams. Because remember that hope is a waking dream.

One Hundred Years of Solitude is the best book I have read by far that holds a lot of truth of a culture that is woven in an abstract reality. This will satisfy even your fiction craving.
