Has anyone ever published a book? If so what is the process? I have been working on writing several works for the past 4 years and I've been in the process of searching for publishers. I purchased a big book of publishers from 2006 and I just never got around to contacting anyone. I never knew how to lay out a mnuscript or anyhting or if I needed an agent.

I was also wondering of how the books end up on the shelf of my local Borders or Walden Books- it seems so wild and unattainable. I want so badly to just sent out a manusctipt and get the ball rolling. I need some rejections and I need some feedback just to know what people have recieved my work. But I do not know how to go about doing it.

My questions are;

Who do I contact? How do I format a manusctipt? How does my manuscrupt tranform to a book on a shelf? How does it get there?!

Thank you for helping me. I need advice preferably from someone who has been there and done that.

OK, you have decided that you can tell me who God is. You the Devine 1; you the Chosen 1, you the mere mortal man that had an opportunity to consider your answer but whole-heartedly decided that you can not only tell me Gods name you can PROVE of ots existence. In so doing you have just PREJUDICED about 30 other bnelief systems, have demonstrated a biggoted attitude a "I am right and they are wrong" persona and have proved that you are nothing less than a fool. You who would proudly announce the name of who your God is have slapped more than a billion people in the face by making this statement that you have no ability to support or to prove. Do you wonder why your world is nothing but a mass of confusion? Because YOU not God have decided what IS God. Excuse me, by what authority to you speak? Because one thing I can demonstrate at this precise moment is that You who know Gods name don't know if you will even be alive 1 minute from now. Time seems to be GODS. Not yours. Get it?

I am an 11th grader in high school, and it seems like the one thing which the school emphasizes above all others is getting a good job to make money. This seems fairly unethical to me, as it puts a premium on materialism, and almost not emphasis on intellectual stimulation. You are told to strive for good grades not to learn the material, but to get into a good college, to make money. I would like to hope that an academic institution could transcend this petty materialism and focus more on intellectual stimlulation, such as Philosophy, which has such a greater potential than making money will ever.

My Girlfriends father has recently been looking into his fathers past with out much success. I was wondering if some one knew of a website or an information beareau that could help?

Basically, from what I can gather, the story goes like this...

My girlfriends father's father (to make this easier he will be called Antonio) was captured by the American's in Sicily circa 1942-1944. Captured he was then transfered to America as a prisoner of war (POW). This is where it gets quite scetchy. We know he was transported to the California area (San francisco we believe) where he lived for 4 years.

We are trying to trace Antonio's history from Sicily to the states. The name of the camp, his port of entry into the US, and where he stayed. Anything else would be bonus. Can anyone help at all? Are there any websites set up for these things or are there any organisations that i could help.

The exhibition game scheduled for China in August was canceled by the NFL, which said it wanted to concentrate its "global resources" on next October's regular-season game in London. Now i would rather have England and Western Europe into American Football more than China for cultural reasons as well as political reasons, but as a business move China is much more promising. england is a nation of 60 million were China is a nation of 1.3 billion. Also from self experiences most british peopel think maericanm Football is "Dumb" "stupid" "gay" "pointless" "boring". This is said probaly form 45 people out of the 50 british folk i have talked to about this issue. aLso China is a vast market and since we seem to be taking all the rest of are business to the far east i am surprised the NFL didnt take this there. Hell im surprised they not moving the NFl to china since they seem to be taking everything else that belongs to Americans and giving it to China.HMMMAYBETHE NFLISTHEONLYCORPTHAT CARES

I saw this artwork years ago and now I'm trying to remember the name of the artist. Most of the paintings include children and a lot of color, but they have a dark, creepy nature to it. I believe the artist is a female, but I could be completely wrong. Any suggestions would be very helpful.

heaven and hell

I walk on this planet,
And I am just a man.
Tripping, sometimes stumbling,
I try to do the best I can

No more important than anyone else,
Whatever I do I really have no plan.
I want to experience all life has to give,
I've never lived my life, wanting to live.

Bored and depressed til you came along,
I'm just tired of being a working class slave.
Heaven and Hell, I believe we create,
Wandering this palnet we decide our own fate.

I've gone from the deepest most painful of hell,
Come out the oter side fully intact.
To hell with you Satan I'm not coming back,
I love my new life, my wife I adore.

My pain from the past, now slowly it fades,
Pain for true love, a hell of a trade.
Most everyone I know wishes us the best,
Those who oppose, can go straight back to hell.

The fact that the case was acquitted CLEARLY proves that OJ didn’t kill Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman.

So what harm is there in writing a hypothetical book about how he would have carried out their murders? Personally I think it shows creativity.
