I'm (a fifteen year old) writing a book, and the first chapter is a little more exciting than I meant to make it. From what I learned about writing stories, the story is supposed to build from the beginning to the climax, but in my first chapter, the protagonist has an argument with her best friend, gets robbed, and then help by a mysterious stranger (who later turns out to be the male lead). Is that too much? (Also, is it too cliche?)

we call them PUNISHMENTS, but they often imply REVENGE(dont get mad, get even... they say)
even the bible said "an EYE for an EYE, a TOOTH for a TOOTH". which is more Karmic, but nontheless SUGGESTIVE(sorta imporing you to practice it).

is there such thing as a SWEET REVENGE?
(which if exists i hope my friend MOON gets from her stalker/s)

I'm so damn aggravated.... I feell like punching a wall?

I don't know what's wrong with me, I've been pretty angry lately and I cant seem to put a finger on what's wrong with me. I think its cuz i was disrespected by this guy who tried to take advantage of me but I put him in his place. but I"m just soooo ANGRY. ARGHH. I don't know what to do and its stressing me out. I cant even seem to concentrate in school. I truly hate men now. I have absolutely no respect for any of them. why do they all think that just cuz i'm a girl that I want to be a damn sexual relationship. WTF does it say easy on my forehead. I'm going to be single forever because I dont think there's hope for guys anymore. I know I"m only 20 but I feel older than I am and I dont even have alot of experiences with guys. This is just too much.

a) Battle of Hastings (1066)

b) Battle of Stamford Bridge (1066)

c) Naseby (1645).

d) Marston Moor (1644).

Now I wanted to take my grandsons to b and d because they are where a and c were effectively decided and are in Yorkshire so it is *their* history and I doubt if they will learn about them in school these days.
I said "soil" because others might say "The Battle of Britain" and maybe that could be true.
BUT - without the need for Harold to march to Stamford Bridge William the Conquerer might not have been able to land in the South and Marston Moor brought Cromwell to the fore and secured the North.
This has affected our whole culture, language, political system and so much else so why aren't our children taught about it?
What do others think?

Is it a logical fallacy to retort with an inflammatory non-sequiter that is only tangentially related to the topic.

Like for example if I say "Democrats are bad because they spend alot of money" and someone retorts with "Well Republicans spend alot of money too!"

Like isn't that deflecting or changing the topic or something? "Republicans" in my example were not part of the original discussion yet somehow people think pointing out the flaws of one idea/group/person somehow deflects badness of the idea/group/person under discussion.

Does that make sense? Is that a logical fallacy or just a tangent or what?
