I asked this a few hours ago, but it was in the afternoon when everyone was still at work. I had tryouts for our school musical today, and I tried out for Meg (the play is Brigadoon) who has two songs, 120-ish lines, and moderate dancing. I did very well on the singing (I'm in the most advanced choir in our school) and pretty well on the speaking, but I'm not very good at dancing (mostly because they teach it to you in 30 seconds and then have you do it). Do you think I will make the callbacks?
Also, any advice for if I do make callbacks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

And it hurt you way down deep
You wish for them all through the day
Maybe cry yourself to sleep
As life goes on and time goes by
You miss them more each day
Your memories turn to dreams at night
You wish the dreams could stay

I've read The Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy Series, Time Warp Trio series, most of the Stargate SG-1 series [I've read Trial By Fire, A Matter Of Honor, Siren Song, Survival Of The Fittest and Allainces], and part of the Stargate Atlantis series [Halcyon and part of Entanglement]. I've also read a few of the Star Wars books [Tatooine Ghost, Courtship Of Princess Leia, Jedi Apprentice]. Any suggestions for what to read next? I like sci-fi action adventure with humor and a little bit of very chaste romance. Please don't suggest books that have inappropriate adult material or that aren't funny. I am also not that fond of Star Trek. Also, have you read Roswell by Sonny Whitelaw? If you have, what happens and should I read it? Thank you so much for answering.

okay, so I auditioned for my first high shcool play, "urinetown: the musical" and I thought I did okay. I got called back the next day (which was today) and I realized I had a GREAT chance at getting the lead role of Hope Cladwell. The thing is, they are having another callback tomorrow, for acting (today was singing) and what if I don't get called back? I don't want to cry at school! how do I set myself up that if I am disappointed, I still walk away with a smile on my face? I'm soo confused and I don't know what to do. I don't want to look like a little baby crying, especially in front of my friends. Help?

Is it better to stay safe at home, with all the warm fuzzies, or to venture forth into dark and dangerous waters for glory, story and adventure.

Upon disassociating one's self from the world and looking down at Earth like an alien studying the human population & behavior under the microscope, the world that we live in would seem bleak and meaninglessly repetitive. The systematic way of life: going to work, going to school, go shopping, go home, go eat, go sleep, and Lather Rinse Repeat.

For those true believers in religion, why do they invest so much into preparatory to the heavens and not on their current lives in this world when god made this world as a gift for humankind? To take it further, wouldn't it be blasphemous and insulting to god to not accept god's gift? sure seems like it.

To me the idea that this life serves no greater purpose, that life is just meaningless fertility, and that I am just a random blip in the space-time continuum, makes my life even more precious. Because my life can end any moment, I can truly embrace and appreciate life fully, taking advantage of it all while I am still alive.

I'm auditioning to be in the play The Mousetrap (great play, by the way!) and for those of you who know the characters, where do you think I could get a good monologue to audition for either Miss Casewell or Mollie Ralston?

Hi!!
I am an avid reader, I like fiction and historical fiction - couple with a believable bit of fantasy.
I like Bernard Cornwell, Lee child and Robert jordan - am looking for something a bit 'cornwell-esque' , something I can immerse myself in.
I like harry potter and varied things like that, basically something to get me away from the grind of everyday life!
Any suggestions?

You are walking in a forest. there is a troll standing there. There are two paths in a forest, one to the right, and one to the left. One way leads you out of the forest safely and the other way leads you to a very painful death by wild animals. You can ask the troll one question nonly. But, the troll tells the truth every other day. For example, if he tell the truth today, he will lie tomorrow. If he lies today, he will tell the truth tomorrow. You don't know which daya he is on. You have one question you can ask him to save your life. What will you ask him and WHY?
