I am considering a career in the area of lighting design, unfortunately there aren't many resources online that provide much information. So I'm wondering are there any schools that provide a specializes degrees in this field. Should I go for a degree in theater with a concentration in lighting? For people who work in this field how hard is it to find a job, and how well does it pay. I'm not looking to become immediately wealthy, but I would like to know I'd be able to support myself with this job. Are there any websites or resources online that will give me more information???

Thanks so much for taking time to help me out!

With today being 9/11, I always think of empathy. I wonder where it went that morning and how people could have done something like that to other people. As a result, I wrote my English Lit dissertation on this subject because I needed to make some kind of sense of what happened that morning here in NY and Va and Pa. I wrote a 47 page dissertation and I still don't have the answer. What is it? Where did it go that morning? How do we get more? Pax - C

I was on my way to work when something told me to turn on the television, I never watch TV in the mornings, I could'nt believe my eyes. I was watching when the second plane hit the second tower. :( I have to admit it made me angry.

Let's pray for all the families who lost loved ones that day and there-after.

Lord please console all the families that were hurt on Sept 11th 2001. Lord, please bless them and help fulfill all their needs. Please Lord protect our country from terrorism and hate. Thank you Lord Jesus.

I've noticed I get immediate eye contact and much more than others (in college setting lecture or a certain attendance of importance to me). Why is it that the lecturer would not equally give eye-contact? Should there be a bias in eye-contact and what does this mean? Thanks.

...it is amazing that the others can pick up on the exact thoughts and reflect them back at you. This is the proof that telepathy can exist!(humorously)

Seriously, what causes some people to be so good at this.. I've noticed the people really good are lecturers of some sort that deal with a good sized group of people regularly and for a long time.

Ok, so my AP Euro teacher gave my class a lecture on Circa 1450. I need to do a timeline on it, but history tends to get a bit boring for me so I drift off. >_<;; I try so hard to pay attention too! My notes are maybe not too good. Any information on it would be a great help! Websites too!

I'd appreciate you greatly!(:

TWINKLE, TWINKLE CRYING STAR

If
eight elephants envision
erroneous epithets,
while wombats wander worldwide
wordlessly wondering why,
mongooses maintain mostly
morose monthly monologues,
and aged aardvarks aimlessly
avoid any affection -

If
poor pious possums ponder
plaintive, painful platitudes,
confused, caustic cattle can’t
compose cud coherently,
wounded woodpeckers worry
without wiggly, witless worms,
cautious, crying crocodiles
cannot contemplate chaos -

If
reptiles reject regression,
eagles equate erosion,
dolphins detest dire dogma,
camels cringe collectively -

And
tortoises try to tunnel:

If
domesticated doggies
dig diligently deeper,
foreseeing falcons flying
forever forward from fear -

And
coy cockroaches can’t complain:

Wouldn’t it be safe to say
that God’s more evolved creatures
see what we refuse to see,
hear what we refuse to hear,
fear what we refuse to fear?

(Yes, I wrote this mindless drivel!)

I find myself spending hours supplying answers to questions asked by people I have not and never will meet. What is it that motivates one to do this? I mean, the "points" have no value, and since nobody knows who I really am, have no meaning. Yet I come back and give answers day after day. WHY?

I brought home with me a painting of Saddam Hussein, painted around sometime in the early 90's to late 80's, judging by the way Saddam looks in the painting and what he is wearing. It is from Iraq. He is in his Iraqi Military uniform in the painting, wearing a beret and glasses, its a very well done picture, and definitely original and one of a kind. It is painted on a piece of wood and looks like it was cut out of maybe a wall or something. What do you think this could be worth?
